If I being PR in Canada, sponsor my mother-in-law (alone) back in india how will it effect her visitor visa?

My husband and I want to sponsor my mother-in-law who is working as a teacher in India. we are permanent resident of Canada. However, my father-in-law expired and she is alone in India. She had her own house and land in India. We are concerend if we apply for sponsorship of my mother-in-law now, how will it effect her visitor visa? In other way, what should we do first, apply for visitor visa or sponsorship? Thanks for your response.
