My puppy growls at me how do i get her to stop?

I have a 10 week old Alaskan Malamute and she growls at me. Sometimes it looks like she's playing, sometimes she growls when I tell her off for chewing something she shouldn't or for biting me. I hold her mouth closed when she starts growling or biting but she puts up a fight and wriggles and tries to push my hand away with her paws. When I let go she usually continues to try and bite me. I sometimes push her head to the ground and hold it there to make her stop. Is that ok to do that?
